On Thursday Abbey school’s chess team defended their title at Okehampton Primary school, against 5 other chess teams.  Our pupils all played with confidence and finesse, with some early rapid victories.  The team demonstrated Abbey school’s values and were a credit to the school.  We successfully defended our team title to become the overall winners.  Oliver, Jaden and Max W all played brilliantly, contributing to the team’s success.  Also in the team with their own individual results are as follows;

Max J – Best Year 3 (Joint second overall)

Xi Lang  –  Best Year 4  (Joint second overall)

Luke  – Best Year 5  (Overall individual winner)

Seb W (Capt) – Best Year 6 (Joint second overall)
